For much of my career I was an arts journalist writing features, reviews and news stories for newspapers, magazines and exhibition catalogs. I have also curated several site specific installation art exhibitions.
I have extensive knowledge of all the arts with particular strengths in the visual arts  and contemporary classical music.

Most recently (2014-20240 I was a communications strategist and writer  at the University of California, Davis,  with an emphasis on the arts and humanities. I collaborated with faculty, staff and students in music, theatre and dance, visual arts, design, African American, Chicano and Chicana, Native American and Asian American studies and other programs producing stories, video and social media content.

I recently retired and returned to my longtime home of Columbia, SC, where I’m exploring curatorial and writing projects, catching up with old friends and colleagues, and making new ones. When I’m not looking at art and listening to music, I’m on the trail or in a kayak.
